Kompatibilizacija je ucinkovita metoda modificiranja nemesljivih
polimernih mesanic. Z dodatkom majhnih kolicin izbranega
blokkopolimera lahko dobimo polimerne zlitine s stabilno
morfologijo in dobro medfazno adhezijo, kar omogoca bistveno
izboljsavo nekaterih fizikalnih lastnosti. V prispevku
predstavljamo rezultate raziskav kompatibilizacije mesanice
polipropilena (PP) s polistirenom (PS). Kot kompatibilizatorja
smo uporabili stirenska blokkopolimera in proucevali njun vpliv
na morfologijo in mehanske lastnosti PP/PS mesanic.

Compatibilization is very effective method for modification of
immiscible polymer blends. Addition of small quantities of chosen
block copolymer can stabilize morphology and enables good
interfacial adhesion of immiscible phases what results in
significant improvements in some physical properties of such
polymer alloys. In the present paper the influence of styrenic
block coplymers as compatibilizers on the morphology and
mechanical properties of immiscible polypropylene/polystyrene
blends is discussed.
